We have been bouncing the idea of going to DisneyLand with Mike & Laura and McKay and after this last week, my sister Katie and I decided it was time to break away for a moment and have a little fun. I really felt like Kya needed some Mommy time so the three of us piled into the car and drove down. We were SO glad Hal could fly out and join us the last day -- HE REALLY needed the vaca!!

The Captain of the Mark Twain boat invited the kids to be co-captains and they had a blast. They blew the horn and drove the ship around. It was awesome! We had royal (lucky) treatment - Pluto even escorted them around!
Okay, I absolutely melted when Kya talked with the princesses. Kya was in heaven and Belle even told her the sweetest little "secret." You'll have to ask Kya if she can tell you!
Here are the boys (sorry it's all out of order)
On the drive home Hal commented on how great it was to just hang out with his brothers (Scott & fam came out a few days earlier) and that he didn't even realize how much he needed time with both of them.

Here is Kate and I - road warriors!! She was a superstar and totally helped me with Kya--especially at DisneyLand when Kya developed "selective hearing" to mom's voice.
These photos just made me smile. This is why we need families! Too cute!
So we bought 2-day hopper passes and now our dilemma is whether we go down again in the next 10 days (before they expire) or just sell them.

Ok, you are the greatest photographer. I am jealous of your camera! My friend who is a photographer told me I finally need to invest in a "real" camera and get rid of my digital. After looking at your pics... I think she is right!
It looks like you all had a good time with Makay and his entourage. We contemplated a trip to Disney Land but figured our kids were to young to enjoy it. The pic of Kya and Bell has been talked about a lot around here.
Thanks again for playing with us on our short notice trip a few weeks ago. We had a good time even though it was a short afternoon.
